OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

2011 was our fourth year hosting the Chicago Invite and we were honored with those who joined us in Naperville for what was one of the most memorable tournament of the spring season. The North Park Ultimate programs (Lost Boys and Allihopa) were humbled to have this opportunity to serve the ultimate community and hoped that you saw past our mistakes on and off the field as players, directors, and volunteers. As we consider you our brothers and sisters in a sport we have all come to love, we hope you find the community as valuable as the competition. It is our core identity that is of the greatest challenge to us in this sport. For all of us, our primary identity is that of a Christ follower. As such we want to demonstrate to the ultimate community not only the best we can be, but also point towards a God who desires genuine relationship with us and those whom we have the honor to play and serve.

IN MEMORY OF: PEDER HEDBERG

On March 24th, 2010 (just four days after our tournament ended that season) our close friend, teammate, and brother Peder Hedberg (#16) passed away after an agressive battle with PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) and then Cholangiocarcinoma (a nasty type of cancer). We had made mention of his battle at the 2010's captains meeting and had an outpouring of support for him and his family from the teams in attendance. We were also honored to have many tell us their stories of battling cancer. Though he passed away, his memory lives on today. We dedicated the 2010 event to him and in 2011 we partnered officially with the foundation set up in his honor; The Peder Hedberg Foundation. We will continue this tradition of hosting the event in his honor.
